The Obligatory Overview

While I am an expert in many fields, there are some services I just do not offer for whatever reason. There are certain platforms and environments I prefer to work with, and I concentrate my efforts in those areas. I do not work with .net, ASP, any other Microsoft web technologies, or Cold Fusion.

My efforts are primarily concentrated and focused on the LAMP platform, as well as (of course) HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML. I am a firm believer in web standards, and cross browser compliance. Your site will function, look beautiful and be the same no matter which browser or screen size your visitor uses.

With those key details in mind, I handle every facet of my projects. From theory, to design and coding. I also handle all installation, testing and database, server and network administration.

Current Rates

  • Hourly: $95/hr

Rates apply to any facet of your project. From design, to coding, to server administration.

I typically do not have a consultation fee for projects, but on consultations which extend into several hours, I may ask for an hourly fee of $65/hour to continue. This is rather rare, however.

Additional Services

The following are some additional services that are available with your project.

  • Printing Services

    I've contracted with a high class printing firm in order to bring you high quality lithograph printing services. Business cards, letterhead, brochures and postcards, specifically. Since I already have your graphics on file, and in print resolution, offering these additional services only makes sense, and is a convenience for my clients.

Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions will be explained on a project by project basis, as part of your quotation. Below is a general guideline for informational purposes.

  • All projects require a 50% down payment to begin.
  • Quotes are valid for 45 days from the date issued.
  • Services will be provided as quoted, for the price quoted. If the scope of the project changes, a new quote will be issued to cover the deviations from the original quote.
  • All payments are non-refundable.
  • Payments are accepted by one of the following methods:
    • Credit card, electronic check, or PayPal, provided through PayPal.
    • Company or personal check. Check must clear before services are rendered.

If you wish to call by phone, please observe the following hours below. While I do work outside of these hours, I need to keep a little quiet time to get into the groove and do amazing things. Email is accepted anytime, and I will respond as soon as possible.

World Kayak Blogs

World Kayak Blogs: Web design and development project by Luke Development.

The director of World Kayak gave a shout this way as he was trying to build an online kayaking community. Using a platform which is a specialty of mine, it was a natural fit for both of us. Work began in November of 2007, and it is an ongoing project. Certain features implemented have been regional content and its management, recent photos, image galleries, a custom network tag solution, and many other general improvements. In addition, the site was originally making some 1100 database queries per page load, with object caching enabled, which has been significantly reduced to approximately 75. Considering all of the features and content, it's a winning combination.

Have you seen Arnel Pineda? Wow. This guy blows me away. Granted, if you're not a Journey fan, it'll probably be out of your grasp. Needless to say, my faith in one of the icons of the 70's/80's is (finally) restored.
